So you have bought your domain and hosting, awesome! Now it’s time to bring your blog to life by installing WordPress.
The great thing about Hostinger is that it’s super easy. You don’t need to download files, set up databases, or write any code. With just a few clicks using their Auto Installer and you are done.
In this post, I will walk you through:
- Logging into your Hostinger dashboard
- Installing WordPress
- Setting up your admin username/password
- Logging in to your WordPress site for the first time
Step 1: Log in to Hostinger Dashboard (hPanel)
- Go to hostinger.com
- Choose your country
- Click on “My account”
- “Log in” with your email and password (used while signing up)
You will be taken to the hPanel. In other words, Hostinger’s easy-to-use control panel.
Step 2: Open the Auto Installer
Once inside hPanel:
- Go to the “Websites” tab
- Click on the Websites list under the Websites section
- Go to your Domain Dashboard
- In that go to the “Website” tab
- Find “Auto Installer” under the Website section
- Click it, then choose “WordPress”
Tip: Don’t confuse it with “WordPress + WooCommerce” unless you are starting an online store.
Step 3: Fill in WordPress Setup Details
You will now see a form asking for some basic setup details:
- Website Title – This can be your blog name (you can change it later)
- Admin Email – This is used for WordPress notifications
- Admin Username – Choose something secure (avoid “admin”)
- Admin Password – Use a strong password
In the Next step:
- Choose the latest WordPress version
- Select language as English
- And then click on the “Install” button.
Hostinger will now install WordPress. This usually takes less than 1 minute.
Step 4: Access Your WordPress Admin Dashboard
Once installation is done, you will be on the WordPress > Overview section of your domain.
Find there an “Edit website” section and click on the “WordPress admin” button.
✅ You are now inside the WordPress Admin Dashboard, the control center for your blog!
